
TWOMBLY PERFORMANCE HORSE SALE
Twombly Performance Horse Sale was Held May 14, 2011 at Coyote Slide Ranch. This was their 15th annual spring sale. What a good set of geldings there were to choose from, along with all other classes of horses! The horses were previewed friday night, saturday morning and the auction began at 1:00 p.m. We want the buyers to know what they are buying. Many of the horses were Trail, Ranch, Reiners and Team Ropers! Again we had a great set of buyers from across the country on hand, many that have purchased with us before! HIGH SELLER was Lot 10 Shining Major a 4 year old palomino stallion by Shining Spark! When the hammer dropped he was the new stud record holder at $40,000! Going to repeat buyer Mr. McCollum of TEXAS! What a Fancy deal he was and has all the ability in the world. They plan to show him in the AQHA Team Ropings. Sold by Twomblys.
SECOND HIGH was Lot 15 Wrangler Dun Good, He was of course a Buckskin and grabbing High Gelding honors of the day and setting the all time gelding record at $35,000! When it was all said and done on the other end of AT&T was Mr. Squier of INDIANA! He was a horse of a life time, was broke and as fancy as you could make one! Sold by the Twomblys.
THIRD HIGH was Lot 14 Ha Bald Rooster, An awesome 5 year old striking strawberry roan gelding that was Fancy Fancy Broke, would really rope both ends and great on the trails! Sold by McCollums of Texas for $15,000 and heading east with Hosking of MASSACHUSETTS!
Trix was Tia.s favorite horse in the sale! And what a fun horse he was! Very broke and as gentle as he could be. Tia roped both ends on him. He knew several different tricks to boot. Sold at Lot 23, going for $12,000! The lucky buyer was Hill of COLORADO. Trix went to a great home!!
Lot 61 was a substitute. Jackson Sage Hancock was a big pretty 6 year old blue roan gelding that would really rope both ends and was gentle! Consigned by Meyer Horse Co. of IA and Sold to Tinkum of COLORADO for $9,900.
Guns Pine O Mite was the cutest little horse around! At Lot 20 he was a 4 year old dun gelding by Dun It Gotta Gun! He sold for $9,500 to Harrenstein of IOWA. Extremely broke, would spin, slide and a very fun horse out on the trails! Sold by the Twomblys.
Lot 25, Peppys Moonrock, AKA HIPPO was the prettiest buckskin horse in the sale and was a dream out on the trails. Standing 15 hands he was as wide as he was tall and gentle for anyone! Sold to the Booth Family from WYOMING for $8,750. Sold by Twomblys.
Smith of Idaho had the Final bid on Lot 30 Metallic Boonsmall at $7,750! Pepto was a beautiful dark, 5 year old, palomino gelding that had tons of ability! Started roping both ends and rode many miles in the rough country. Sold by Twomblys.
Lot 28, Topsailndual, was a big good looking, 5 year old, buckskin gelding that was heading steers! He had been ridden a lot out side and had some reining training. Purchased by repeat buyers, Westmans of MINNESOTA for $6,750. Sold by Meyer Horse Co.
Esay Illuminator was a 10 year old gray gelding at Lot 34. Roping both ends and a big pretty horse at that. Sold by Meyer Horse Co IA and purchased for $6,000 by Homan, MINNESOTA.
JD Long of TX sold Lot 31 for $5,750. A 5 year old bay gelding. Roped both ends, showed in ranch rodeos and rode a ton on the ranch, extremely broke and gentle to boot! Shooks from COLORADO took him home.
Lot 57, Aprees Whiz, an 8 year old, palomino gelding sold for $5,500. Consigned by Josh White, CO. Cute as can be and roped both ends tough! Gentle and bred right! Purchased by Ruff of WYOMING.
Zan Its Star was a beautiful, gentle, dun gelding by Zan It! Sold at Lot 35 for $5,000 to Boyett from OKLAHOMA. Raised on the ranch and riding right. Has all the ability! Sold by Twomblys
